The Conservative's Trans Daughter

So, I am a serious media fan. Books, Movies, Shows, Music, etc. I love something in each of those. I decided that I am going to do a basic post about what I am watching/reading/listening to every week.

First things first: I use tv shows or movies I have seen a million times as background noise while I work. It helps the tedious tasks go faster. I also will listen to audiobooks (especially epic fantasy) when I am working on major projects. So, I’ll give a rundown on what I have been enjoying this week:

Music: I have a 9 hour long mix playlist that crosses nearly every modern style/genre. Mostly, though, I’ve been listening to SkyDxddy‘s first album Traumacore while I work through some big feels.

Movies: This week, I am dipping back into some old favorites. Today, specifically, I worked my way through all three Pitch Perfect films.

TV: Finished up The Pitt season 2 this weekend and am really mad that I have to wait until 2027 for my next taste. Also have been rewatching Game of Thrones and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Books: I am currently reading Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson. The third book in the epic Stormlight Archive.

Here’s the thing about media (all types of art, really): Media is the voice of a civilization. It’s how we reflect the world we experience. I’ll be digging deeper into a lot of the media that I take in, possibly sometimes too much, because I have emotional reactions to all types of media. However, you won’t find any trans-antagonistic media or producers here (sorry JK, you can get fucked.)

So buckle up, kids, Auntie D is gonna take you on a media ride.
